Popular Apps and Categories for Windows Phone Development 1

All smartphones which run the Windows Phone 8 operating system support a useful connectivity feature that allows you to share things like apps, files, games, contacts, images, and other files simply by tapping your phone against another device running the same operating system. Some items may also be shared with devices running newer versions of the Goggle Android operating system in certain situations. This wireless connectivity feature is known as NFC or near-field communication. You may also pair your Windows Phone with any other device which supports NFC, such as various Bluetooth devices.

Before you begin, ensure that both phones are unlocked and that NFC sharing is enabled on both devices. On the home screen, swipe to the left to reveal the full list of shortcuts and scroll down to reach “Settings.” Scroll down this list to find “tap+send” and ensure that the feature is enabled. For transferring larger files, you should also turn on the Bluetooth feature which you can find on the Settings page.
